Ceramic magnets are low
cost, non-conductive, resistant to corrosion, stable at high temperature
and easy to magnetize. These properties make ceramic magnets the best
choice for many applications ranging from loudspeakers to motors,
sensors, and generators. BGRIMM began production of ceramic magnets in
1958, and it currently produce 65,000 tons/year ferrite, supplying
45-50% the market in China. |

NdFeB is the
most advanced permanent magnet available today. It offers extremely high
energy product (up to 50 MGOe) and of lower cost as compared with SmCo.
With steady price reductions in the last few years, NdFeB has become
ever more cost effective for wider applications such as high-performance
motors, speakers, hard disk drive, sensors, actuator and so on. NdFeB
has good mechanical characteristics but is more temperature dependent
than SmCo. The surface of NdFeB is susceptible to oxidation and
therefore coating is generally required. |
